May 9, 2006: Vegas 888 opened its sales center with a grand opening extravaganza and weekend event which began on Thursday, May 4 and concluded on May 7, 2006. More than 500 people attended the event, with buyers and potential buyers arriving from both domestic and international addresses.
The Open House on Thursday and the following weekend was a remarkable success, generating more than $120 million in contracts released. Two of Vegas 888's immaculate Strip-View Pent Lofts were released over the weekend, a total that exceeded $18 million. The average price of the residences sold during the weekend totaled roughly $2.3 million.
"The response for Vegas 888 has been tremendous," said Christopher DelGuidice, chairman and cheef executive officer for Del American. "We're thrilled that the sales commenced so quickly for the project. Vegas 888 is superior to any other condominium residences on the market, and this is being reflected in the affluent buyers we are attracting. Excellent taste demands excellent design and excellent service, and these are exactly what we are offering."
Attendees to the grand opening were passed gourmet food by an elegant service staff as they mingled and poured over plans and renderings of the residences that were on display. Residences in the 50-story tower range from 860 to 8,000 square feet with prices starting at $750,000 to more than $10 Million.
